Never thought I would be writing another blog from an ambulance, but once again my world is crashing around me. The doctor came into Marjorie’s hospital room and said two words no parent ever wants to hear.
“…a mass.”
We began the day at the doctor hoping her prognosis and reason behind her stomach distention was constipation or gas. We are ending the day with an ambulance ride to Wolfson Hospital in Jacksonville.
I don’t know what is to come. I pray the doctor is wrong. Her large liver could be from a host of reasons. We don’t know yet. There’s nothing to report or update to give. Jordan and I just ask for prayers. We are both so scared for our baby girl.
My brain hurts to think and my fingers can barely type. I am not sure how I am still conscious. I feel nothing, but brokenness and utter fear.
My children are my world and Marjorie my sweet miracle. I am asking for prayers, love and positive light to be shined on my girl. Marjorie is proof that prayers work and I pray they work again.
More to come…

May 26, 2015 at 9:56 pmSending prayers and hugs your way to beautiful Marjorie! I actually briefly overheard your story on a plane this past Thursday from Baton Rouge to Atlanta. As I heard the name “Sea Island”, where my family grew up taking our family summer vacations, I found myself rereading several pages in my book captured by your words. I am so glad I came across your post about Marjorie. God will always work his miracles. Xo

May 27, 2015 at 6:36 pmhello Marjorie and Family. My son was 5 when we heard this words there is a mass and it has to come out. Zach had a brain tumor-Medulloblastoma. Needless to say oir journey’s thru Cancer will not be the same as each is unique to the child but wanted you to know you are in our prayers. Zach is now 13 and headed to the 7th grade and doing well. There is a group of Mom’s on FB called Momcology that is a great resource and I know there are some interesting treatments for neuronal aroma at Sloan Kettering and also at CHOP-children’s Hopspital of Phillidelphia. Praying for you all.

May 29, 2015 at 9:23 amI will be adding Marjorie and your family to our prayer list at church on Sunday. Although we have never met, I feel that I know you personally through my niece, Sarah Fortenberry Holt. After Sarah lost her two brothers, I told her that I wished I could squeeze her tight enough to take away the pain she was feeling but it was impossible. I wish the same for you and your family. I too have been where you are. Cancer is an ugly word. My husband used to say that it was straight from Satan. It knows no boundaries but God can set those boundaries. Look to Him for strength each day. My advice to my husband, Billy, was always “don’t borrow tomorrow’s troubles”. Don’t worry about what is to come tomorrow, next week or even next year. God promises to give us the grace to get through each day. Lean on Him. Nothing can pluck you from his loving hand. Love and prayers.
